In the spring of 2019 Andrew, Jules and Blake (their son) moved to the Isle of Skye – to a small cottage near Edinbane…to be closer to Jules’ mum who has lived in Portree for over 30 years, and to realise their dream of living on Skye.
Andrew plays 4 and 5 string banjo, mandola, mandolin and guitar and sings.
Jules plays fiddle and border bagpipes and also sings.
Between them they teach banjo, mandolin, guitar and fiddle (or violin).
Before Skye, Andrew and Jules spent over a dozen years travelling around Europe in a bus, busking and gigging before settling in Devon, South West England to raise their young boy and to have more musical adventures.
Whilst living in Devon they taught music and formed Paddy’s Whiskers – a full time, professional three piece band playing a high energy mix of Irish, Scottish and American folk music and song at festivals, gigs, ceilidhs, barn dances, weddings and parties.
